I’m guilty of saying nebby, jagger, buggy, flip flips, hoagie (grinders and subs sound silly), city chicken (had a huge discussion on Facebook about this the other day, it’s actually German in origin from when they banned poultry from the cities during the Plague), jimmies and Babususka mama.
Oh, and “Kennywood’s open” is the greatest phrase of all time and I teach it to people whenever I can.
I do have to be on guard at ALL TIMES when saying “steel”, “iron” and anything with a long o-sound.
